MORNING EVERYONE
I think Spring has arrived ...Well we have had a challenge for the last couple of months and think it is finally all done so now we can get back to what we love to do and this spend time together...I started a giveaway yesterday and am amazed that no one has entered yet, but it might be tough.. the word that is purple is purple.. so that is a freeby for you just put that word in your comment and you have one entry
COOKER
POT ROAST
3 to 4 lb. beef pot roast
2 Tbsp butter or margarine
1 lb can tomatoes
1/2 cup dry red wine (optional)
1/2 cup water
3/4 cup chopped onions
1/2 cup finely chopped carrots
1/2 cup finely chopped celery
1/2 tsp minced garlic
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp basil
1 tsp basil
1/2 tsp pepper
2 Tbsp butter or margarine, softened
2 Tbsp flour
Brown the beef pot roast in the butter in a frying pan. Place the beef roast in the slow cooker with the remaining ingredients except the butter and flour. Cover and cook on low for 10 to 12 hours (high 4 1/2 to 5 hours).
If thick gravy is desired remove the beef pot roast from the cooker and turn the heat to high. Add the butter and flour that have been mixed together and cook until thickened, stirring often.
