MORNING EVERYONE
Well going to hit town this morning to pick up supper as my brother and sister in law are coming up for a nice dinner... have his gift to give him. I think once I am in town I will go to a couple of eye glass places and check out some new frames... going to get something funky just not sure what... I would love to have a pair of green frames..but will just have to wait and see what they got..
MELTS
¼ chopped onion (3 Tablespoons)
2 stalks celery, diced
½ apple, chopped
2 (6 ounce) cans water packed tuna, drained
5 Tablespoons Mayo or Miracle Whip
¼ teaspoon, freshly ground black pepper
4 English Muffins split in half
1 Tomato
1 Cup shredded cheddar cheese
Combine onion, celery, apple, tuna, salad dressing and black pepper in a medium sized bowl. Place English Muffin halves on a foil lined baking sheet and broil for 1-2 minutes or until lightly toasted. Remove from oven and top each English muffin half with 1/4 of the tuna mixture. Top each with a tomato slice and cheddar cheese. Broil for 2-4 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
THRIFTY THURSDAY
I love cooking with fresh herbs but they are so expensive to buy so how about having your own herb garden..
Herb Garden
Grow your herbs “vertical gardening style” by simply filling each pocket of a shoe organizer with soil and herbs. This is also a clever way to hang your plants out of reach from inquisitive cats.
Tip: Test the fabric of the organizer first to see if it will allow water to drain, if not, just make a few small holes in each pocket
Make sure you use sckum hooks when you hang... as once you put the dirt in the pockets with water it will get quite heavy...
Well everyone have a good day and talk to you soon
Enjoy
Cheers
Granny
