THRIFTY THURSDAY

MORNING EVERYONE
Well I am back home... Had a great couple of days at my girlfriends place ,went and did some Thrift Store shopping in Brentwood Bay and Sidney... Got some great charger plates, and some fabric to make a table cloth and napkins...My best bargain was a brooch ... I love brooches . To my girlfriend Pat thank you from the bottom of my heart.. Tuesday was Aussie day , the same as our Canada Day, and Pat's son Kevin and his lady Sarah cooked us a fabulous dinner.. Kevin and Sarah are heading back to Australia ( where Sarah is from) in a month for a few years .. She is going to go and manage the LULU LEMON in Melbourne what an opportunity for the both of them.. Anyway they and their friend Kent cooked us a great dinner and Sarah made a Pavalone for dessert and it was fabulous.. Thank you so much for the great meal as well as the great Australian wine and company...Went over to Alison and Derek's new home for a quick visit and it is beautiful.. You have both done a great job.

1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 cup (8 ounces) sour cream

Preparation:
Saute onion and mushrooms in oil and butter until onions are until tender. Remove and set aside. Brown ground beef in the same pan; drain off excess fat. Sprinkle flour over ground beef; stir to blend. Add liquid, onion, mushrooms, salt, and ketchup. Cook and stir until mixture is thickened; stir in sour cream and heat through. Serve over hot buttered noodles.

Thrifty Thursday:
I love this idea for storing ribbons. You can buy expensive containers for your ribbons but this will work perfectly. Those of you who do scrapbooking or sewing will find this very helpful for sure

Enjoy
Cheers

  1. Love the ribbon holder idea. Mine usually ends up all thrown in a drawer together and tangled up! Thanks.

  2. Livi thought you would .. The nice thing is that it would only be $1.00 from the dollar store....
