THRIFTY THURSDAY

Morning Everyone
I love where I live we have such great neighbours... Our neigbour Gary has a snowblower and he was so kind to remove the snow from the driveway..It was great cause I have not been able to help Grumpy with the snow removal and when he got home from work today he did not have to finish shoveling the driveway...With this sore back I just feel useless ...When Grumpy got home he thought I had gone and done that and he was not very happy but I had to fesh up tell him that it was Gary... The least we could do was give him a bottle of wine so hoping he and his wife Montie enjoyed the "goof"....
Stuffing Crusted

ADD hot water to remaining stuffing mix; stir just until moistened. Spoon over corn mixture.
BAKE 30 min. or until chicken is done (165°F)

Substitute your favorite frozen vegetables for the stir-fry vegetables.

Todays organizing challenge will be a refreshing one... The primary purpose is to purge what you no longer need, making space for the "new, trendy you". Once the challenge is done, go to your favorite clothes shopping store and pick yourself out a cute new outfit! You deserve it after all you have been through.
You get to go through all of you clothes, weeding out the ones that you no longer wear, ones that don't flatter you, if you bought them when you were in high school, aka... "out of style pieces" or any that just doesn't fit anymore. Those will go in your donation box. ONLY KEEP WHAT FITS YOU NOW! I hope we can inspire each other to get our clothing neatly in order!

My Organizing challenge for you today is your DRESSERS

1. Open up all those drawers
2. Now, empty it all onto your bed.
3. Get your 3 boxes (keep, toss, donate) and start separating. Try them on if you have to.
4. Okay, now neatly fold all of the clothes and put them back in an organized fashion.
5. While you are at it, you can clear the clutter on the top of your dresser too... in the same fashion as the clothing sort. Remove everything, give it a good cleaning, and toss what you don't need on there.
5. Easy,peasy... Your done!

It was a simple challenge, but gives a great feeling of satisfaction that it was done! I have enclosed two videos on a great way to fold shirts..I have used this now for quite a few years and it really keeps them neat and tidy

I am going to combine my 3C's craft today with the Thrifty Thursday..We have all had a lot of snow so I thought I would give you a video on how to make birdseed ornaments for our little birdies out there...I know the kids would love to make these as well , they are a great gift for your little ones to give the neighbours especially if they are seniors.

Enjoy
Cheers

  1. I purged my clothes when I was packing for my move and got filled 6 black garbage bags to donate. Courtney and I went through her room too and we got 1 from her as well. It felt great...she is not so happy about donating her things. She is already a pack rabbit like her mom and dad...I held up a pair of slippers and asked her if they still fit her. She said no so I said ok, over to the donate pile. "Actually, I need to keep them" she said, I asked her why she needed to keep slippers that she couldn't wear anymore and she relpied "so that when I look at them it will remind me of when they did fit me"...funny because I have a few pairs of jeans and a little black dress like that! lol Showing her that it's good to donate the things we aren't using has been a good way to make me get rid of my hoarding too!
